The Goal:
Let's dig a little deeper into the construction of a paragraph by examining the parts that make up any paragraph. Once we clearly understand the piece parts that make up a strong paragraph, we can take that understanding and apply it to a similar model for the mini essay.
Directions:
1. Watch the videos below. Be sure you can identify all the parts of a paragraph and what each part does. Be sure to print out and use the word list and printable from the previous page of this lesson.
2. Before you go on to the next page, tell a parent the name of each paragraph part in order, and explain its function. Do this without assistance so you have it clearly in your head.
