The Goal:

In this lesson you will review the the key events of Reconstruction to determine if the plans, laws, and practices supported the goals of freeing African-Americans.

Directions: 

1. Make a copy of this document.  It will teach you the first steps to creating Study Notes.

2. READ/LISTEN to the document BEFORE you watch the video(s). 

3. ​Then, make a copy of a "starter" mind map or bulleted outline for this lesson to help you take notes.

   • Mind Mup 2.0 file (PC, Chromebooks)​

   • XMind file (Macs) this link will take you to a shared folder where you can download the file called "reconstruction.xmind"  You will need to make a slight change to the mind map.

4. Use the video, the word list (top icon to your left), and the printables to create a study notes mind map or bulleted outline.

5. Now, watch the video(s).  There are questions in the video to help you complete your study notes.  

6. Be SURE to review the word list and the printables.  There is some information in the printable that is NOT in the video.

7. Please follow the instructions in the summary notes document to complete your assignment.

8. Submit a shareable link to your summary notes mind map/bulleted outline.   Use the "text reply" icon in the next assignment called Submit Reconstruction Study Notes.
